Systems and Software

All sessions will be hosted via Zoom.

Zoom works with Windows, Mac, Linux, Iphone, Android and via a web browser. We recommend that attendees download the Zoom application to their device in advance of the meeting.

Keynote Plenary Sessions and Breakout Sessions will use the Zoom Webinar tool. Attendees may ask questions using the Q&A functionality.

Short Talks Sessions are more interactive and will use the Zoom Meeting tool. All attendees will be able to see and hear each other using their webcam, speakers, and microphone. Attendees may ask questions using the “raise hand” function or using the chat functionality.

Visit the Zoom Help Centre for further guidance on Zoom Meetings and Webinars.

Recording Notice

All sessions will be recorded. Where speakers have given permission, talks will be made available to attendees following the conference. Attendees will not be recorded during the Keynote and Breakout Sessions. If attendees do not wish to be recorded during the Short Talk Sessions, they should mute their webcam and microphone and ask questions via the Chair, using the chat functionality.

Zoom Links and Passcodes

All registered attendees have been emailed a detailed programme, which includes a direct link for each session. If attendees wish to join via the Zoom app, they should type the relevant Zoom ID and Zoom passcode when prompted. Those wishing to attend the Atmospheric Science Conference on 22 June and future dates can still register.
